This definition, proposed by Xerfi, thus corresponds to many different trades. According to INSEE, the finishing work branch of activity (433) is the one that comes closest to this definition. Sector value estimates differ depending on the organization and the definition given to it. Xerfi, on the one hand, estimates the annual turnover of the building renovation sector at 130 billion euros. On the other hand, the Observatoire des m\u00e9tiers du BTP estimates the turnover of the maintenance-renovation sector to be more around 95 billion euros. Finally, the finishing work branch of activity was valued at 60.5 billion euros in 2022 by INSEE.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">This sector can be segmented by trade and type of activity. The energy renovation segment in particular has strongly contributed to the sector's growth in recent years. But this market is also segmented by building typology.
